To the editor:
Effective county government depends on one thing — funding. Without access to the necessary funds, county governments cannot maintain and enhance emergency services, policing, infrastructure, housing, or economic development.
That is a key reason why Cathie Rigby is uniquely qualified for the position of Lincoln County commissioner. Cathy has multiple years of experience as the city of Newport’s grants manager, overseeing more than $30 million in funding. She has a deep understanding of how local government works, where grants and other funds can be accessed, and how to obtain them.
She is a proven team player with a focus on problem solving and results and can access the resources and provide the stability and professionalism needed to move Lincoln County forward.
