To the editor:

On behalf of the board of directors, executive director Gretchen Dubie and our volunteers, View the Future extends our deep appreciation to the Three Rivers Foundation for awarding our organization $10,000 toward the construction of built-in benches that will be placed on the Yachats estuary walkway.

Since 2019, View the Future has been a member of the city’s workgroup to create the estuary boardwalk along Ocen View Drive in Yachats. We have raised $65,000 in donations from both residents and visitors. With this additional funding and partnership, we are sure to see this project a reality.

Our organization and the city of Yachats have partnered on several successful projects in the past and will continue in the future. We are so pleased to have the Three Rivers Foundation and the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians join our partnership.
