To the editor:
The theme for this year’s Yachats Banner project, “Being Together in Yachats” was played out by our community during the artist reception and auction held last Saturday at the Commons.
We enjoyed the company of many of the 35 artists, the Polly Plumb Productions organizers and the generous community of friends and family who joined the festivities and participated in the most successful auction yet to raise more than $9,000.
Thank you.
Along with next year’s banners, the proceeds will support art projects and education, such as supplies for Waldport High School arts classes, the Yachats Big Band and the monthly Yachats Open Mic.
