WALDPORT – The Waldport City Council has scheduled a special meeting for Thursday, May 22 at the community center.
The 4 p.m. meeting will begin with the council’s regular monthly meeting which had been postponed May 8 because of concerns about clashes between groups who had planned to attend. One group has formed to support mayor Heide Lambert, who was removed from her position in April and then reinstated at least temporarily by a judge, and there is a group supporting the council and city manager Dann Cutter.
The public will be allowed to speak during the public comment period at the beginning of the meeting.
Council will transition into its 2025-26 budget hearing following the regular meeting.
A draft of the special meeting’s agenda, which is tentatively scheduled from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., is available at https://towncloud.io/go/waldport-or
