Quinton SmithRick Booth, a Waldport city councilor and chaplain for local police and fire agencies, also is a licensed pyro-technician who for one day a year — July 3 in Waldport — oversees the annual fireworks show. The city of Waldport funded the $17,500 show via a contract with Western Display of Canby, who contracts with Booth and his crew.
