The Oregon Coast Community College Foundation is hosting its eighth annual “Pearls of Wisdom” fundraising event Saturday, March 14 to raise money for scholarships and to support college programs.

The event at the college’s Newport campus includes a dinner catered by Side Door Café, testimonials from scholarship recipients and a fundraising auction. Tickets are $125 each and reservations close March 2.

The event has raised nearly $360,000 over the years to help fund scholarships, increase teaching capacity, and enhance the student experience.

“As a returning or new guest at Pearls of Wisdom, this is your chance to have fun, to get to know OCCC a little better, to help even more students change the direction of their own lives, and of this community we all love,” OCCC President Marshall President Mease Roache said in a statement announcing the event.

There is also an optional president’s reception from 4-5 p.m. limited to 40 people and include a conversation with along with a guided wine tasting.
