The third annual Lincoln County economic summit in March will focus on the Oregon coast’s ocean-related economy
The summit will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at the Inn at Otter Crest and is sponsored by the Economic Development Alliance of Lincoln County.
The theme of this year’s Economic Summit is “New, Blue & Buoyant” with panels on the coast’s “blue economy” from regional and local experts and business owners. There will also be updates on housing, education, healthcare and childcare.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Marty Alvarado, a partner in an education consulting group with over two decades of experience in education and workforce development systems.
The summit will also feature a variety of resource tables by local businesses and community members.
“Our goal for this event is to provide an opportunity for our business and community leaders to come together to learn, share and leave with actionable insights to enhance our local economic vitality,” said alliance executive director Paul Schuytema.
Registration for the event, including lunch, is $45. Registration is through the Eventbrite website.
The Economic Development Alliance of Lincoln County is a 30-year-old independent nonprofit economic development organization whose goal is to attract, support and grow businesses.
