The SLUGS – whose full but little-used name is the Seashore Literacy Ukelele Group Singers – play holiday tunes Saturday during what certainly must have been the first holiday craft bazaar of the season. Sponsored the Crestview Heights Booster Club, the first Random Reindeer sale Saturday and Sunday drew 45 vendors to the grade school’s gym in Waldport. The event serves as a fundraiser for the booster club, said club officer Melaia Kilduff, including help provide book fairs, extra class activities and field trips. “It’s for all the things that help school staff,” Kilduff said.
