LINCOLN CITY – The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians is now accepting all Lincoln County residents for medical and behavioral health services at its Dan’Chaa-May-Yvlh-Srii-Dvn (North Doctor Place) clinic.
The clinic opened last September intending to bring high-quality, person-centered care directly to the Oregon coast. Dedicated to offering broad community access, the facility offers comprehensive billing options including Medicare, Medicaid and most major private insurance, the tribe said in a news release.
North Doctor Place is modeled on the Siletz Community Health Clinic’s commitment to emphasize respect, dignity and individualized treatment. The clinic provides a range of services including primary care, general medicine, preventative and chronic care as well as management.
Behavioral health services include assessments, outpatient counseling and medication-assisted treatment for alcohol and drug use. Dental services are scheduled to be added as staffing continues to expand, the tribe said.
New patients can register at the clinic, 1831 S.W. Highway 101. Hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (closed 12:30 to 1 p.m.), and 1-5 p.m. Wednesdays. Patients already registered with the Siletz Health Clinic do not need to register.
“The opening of North Doctor Place marks a significant milestone for the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians and the broader coastal community,” according to a tribal press release. “By offering wide patient access and a comprehensive range of services, the clinic stands as a testament to the Siletz Tribe’s ongoing commitment to community health, accessibility and culturally centered care.”

A shout out to our tribal brothers and sisters for their efforts.
This is absolutely uplifting. The descendants of a people who suffered displacement and imprisonment at the hands of white settlers now offer medical treatment to the descendants of those settlers. Maybe there is hope for the human race.
