Afraid to go to the pharmacy and need someone to pick up a prescription for you? Just let the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office know.
The sheriff’s office announced Thursday it will begin delivering prescription medications to the elderly or people with health issues in unincorporated Lincoln County to help reduce the chance of COVID-19 exposure. There is no fee for the service, which will be offered Monday through Friday.
“Vulnerable” residents need to call Lincoln County’s call center at 541-265-0621 to set up the service. Then they have to:
- Contact the pharmacy, order the prescription, and let them know a deputy will be picking it up;
- Prepay for the prescription either online or over the phone.
- Contact the call center at 541-265-0621 to answer screening questions.
Callers will need to provide their name, address, phone number, date of birth, and pharmacy name. The person on the prescription must be at the drop-off address and present valid identification to receive the prescription.
The sheriff’s office said anyone participating in the service will also need to wear a mask and stay six feet away from the deputy delivering the medication.
