The Lincoln County School District has to fill a vacancy on the district’s budget committee representing Zone 5, which includes the communities of Waldport and Yachats and the unincorporated surrounding areas.

Budget committee members typically receive training in April and serve for one to three meetings in May. The volunteer appointment runs through June 30, 2028.

Applicants must be registered voters who reside in Zone 5 for the duration of their service and may not be school district employees.

The application deadline is Feb. 27. The school board plans to interview applicants and appoint the person at its March 10 meeting.
