YACHATS — A celebration of holistic health, psychic practices and related crafts returns to Yachats in a two-day fair Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1-2.
Called “the largest and longest-running event of its type on the Oregon Coast” by organizer Violet Young, the 26th annual Pathways to Transformation event will be held in the Yachats Community Presbyterian Church. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, the fair will feature seminars, vendors and practitioners of energy healings, astrology and psychic readings.
Young said the “family-friendly, entertaining, and educational” event includes 12 seminars for a $5 weekend pass. Scheduled seminars include “New ways of Healing Trauma Using the Mind-Body Connection,” “The Many Benefits of Talking to Dead People,” and “The Hidden Blocks That are Currently Living In your Home.”
Among almost 50 booths in and outside the church, attendees can browse stones and crystals, books (some with their authors on hand), art, Feng Shui tools and health and wellness aids. Visitors will also be able to experience massage, energy healings, astrology, tarot and psychic readings.
Free books and information will be available at the fair, with food and beverages available for purchase from Chubby Li’l Mermaid of Seal Rock.
The fair is handicapped accessible and offers free parking. For more information, call 541-270-3669, or visit this website.
