Narrative Summary
On 10/14/2020 between 1:30 and 3:00 PM, unknown suspect(s) broke into a parked vehicle near milepost 126 on US Highway 101 and stole a black 5.11 brand backpack. The backpack contained an Aero Precision .300 black out AR style pistol with a folding pistol brace. Also stolen was a suppressor for the rifle, a tactical chest rig containing several loaded rifle and pistol magazines. The victim was able to provide the serial numbers for the firearms and they have been entered into LEDS/NCIC. The case is under investigation.

Narrative Summary
**eCrash Report** On 10/15/20 at approximately 15:38 PM, Unit #2, a black 2020 Cadillac sedan, was northbound on US Highway 101 near milepost 164. Unit #2 was stopped waiting for a vehicle ahead of it to turn westbound onto Smelt Sands Beach/Lemwick Lane in Yachats. Unit #1 a gray 2018 Jeep Commander was northbound behind Unit #2. The driver of Unit #1 was distracted and looked away from the road. When the driver of Unit #1 saw Unit #2 stopped ahead, she tried to brake and swerve onto a private drive along the eastern side of US Highway 101. The vehicle rolled onto its driver side and came to a rest in a ditch along the eastern shoulder after impacting the rear of Unit #2. All occupants were wearing safety restraints and were uninjured. Unit #2 was able to drive away from the scene. The operator of Unit #2 arranged for the towing and removal of the vehicle. OSP was assisted at the scene by ODOT Incident Response and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of Unit #1 was issued a citation for Careless Driving.
