Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 10/2/19 at approximately 3:00PM a westbound box truck left the lane of travel and collided with the westbound guardrail near milepost 26 of US Highway 20. The vehicle continued along the guardrail, causing damage to approximately 100 feet of guardrail. ODOT responded and inspected the guardrail. Driver reported losing steering. A mechanic responded and reported failure to a steering mechanism. Truck company arranged for a tow through Penske. No injuries were reported.

E-Crash: Unit #1 was driving northbound. While negotiating a curve in the road the driver lost control on the wet roads, crossed the center line, and went over a steep embankment roughly 150 feet away. The driver was uninjured. The driver’s family will be arranging a tow in the coming days. ODOT Incident response arrived and was made aware of the situation.
