A level three sex offender on probation was observed at an apartment complex in Newport off NE 36th Street by law enforcement. The suspect was known to law enforcement. The suspect was on probation out of Tillamook County and a specific condition states he was not allowed to be outside of Tillamook County. His PO was contacted and advised they would issue a detainer. Lincoln County Jail advised they would be unable to lodge the suspect. The suspect was advised to report in person the following morning to Tillamook County P&P. Lincoln County SO assisted with the contact during a violation traffic stop.

*E-CRASH* On 5/22/2022 an unidentified vehicle performed an illegal U-Turn on US-101 near milepost 121, causing the driver of a silver Ford F350 (Unit1) to come to an immediate stop. Unit1 was rear ended by silver Toyota T10 (Unit2). Unit2 was rear ended by white Chevrolet Express (Unit3) and was pushed into the middle of the highway. Unit3 collided with a red Toyota Corolla (Unit4), which was unoccupied and legally parked on the shoulder. The passenger of Unit2 was transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Unit1 and Unit2 were able to drive from the scene.
