Narrative Summary
On 07/15/2022 at approximately 7:16pm, a Green Honda was traveling southbound on highway 101. The vehicle was called in due to the driver making concerning statements about self-harm. Upon stopping the vehicle, a slurred speech along with an odor of alcohol were observed. The driver was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety tests. Based on the evidence from the test’s, the driver was arrested for DUII. The driver was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was cited and released after providing a breath sample.

Unit #1, a gold Cadillac sedan was eastbound, when the driver attempted to turn around to drive westbound, utilizing a nearby driveway. Unit #1 neglected to yield to Unit #2, an eastbound white Ford F250, causing a collision. Neither driver or any passengers were injured. The Cadillac was towed by Rowley’s Towing and the Ford F250 was driveable. The driver of Unit #1 was warned for failure to yield before entering a highway.

On 7/16/22 at approximately 2:45PM I stopped the subject of a driving complaint near milepost 125 of US Highway 101. Subject showed signs of impairment including odor of alcohol and slurring her speech. Subject performed field sobriety tests and displayed additional signs of impairment. Subject was arrested and transported to Lincoln County Jail. Subject provided a breath sample measuring a blood alcohol content of .17%. Subject was cited and released.

The Oregon State Police were given two driving complaints at the same time. It described a Mazda sedan westbound towards Newport passing illegally and tailgating and almost causing a head-on crash. The vehicle was located by OSP and a statement was taken from the involved driver. Narrative Summary
Around 5 pm the Oregon State Police had been notified a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu had driven through a ditch and continued northbound on highway 229 near milepost 12. I drove to the location at the time and located the vehicle’s rear bumper with its license plate attached. I located the vehicle parked at Ichwhit Park damaged and unoccupied. Later around 7:40 pm I located the vehicle on highway 229 near milepost 1 in relation to an agency assist call in the area. The driver showed signs of impairment and performed poorly on voluntary field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested and transported to the jail in Newport. The driver provided a breath sample indicating a 0.23% BAC. The driver was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering.
