On 1/8/2020 a Waldport resident located a cooler containing the decomposed carcasses of two deer off of Pacific View Street in Waldport. On 1/9/2020 an OSP Fish and Wildlife Trooper responded to the area and discovered the two decomposing carcasses of two black tailed deer, a spike buck deer and a yearling black tailed deer doe inside the cooler and an associated garbage bag. Other evidence was recovered from the scene and the investigation remains open.

Narrative Summary
On 1/9/20 at approximately 8AM I was called to a welfare check at Cape Perpetua State Park visitors center. Dispatch reported a 911 call at the location. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office also responded. A subject was ultimately arrested for an oustanding warrant at the location. I located an associated vehicle at Neptune North State Park. I seized a firearm for safekeeping and logged it into evidence at the OSP Newport Patrol Office. Vehicle was released to the registered owner.

Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 1/9/20 at approximately 1PM a northbound pickup pulling a 22 foot RV trailer crashed near milepost 130. Evidence at the scene indicates the trailer began “fishtailing” on the downslope of Cape Foulweather when the driver lost control of the vehicle, the trailer sideswiped the northbound guardrail and overturned. The pickup overturned while still connected to the trailer and the units rotated and slid on the passenger side. Vehicles slid through the southbound lanes and collided with the southbound guardrail. Driver was cited for failure to drive with a lane. No injuries were reported. Rowley’s Towing towed the pickup and trailer. Depoe Bay Fire, ODOT and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

Narrative Summary
On the above date and time I responded to a three vehicle collision on Highway 18 near milepost 11 at the Lincoln-Tillamook County line. An eastbound vehicle crossed the center line and side swiped a westbound pickup. This forced the pickup into the westbound ditch and onto its side. The eastbound car then struck another westbound vehicle. After that collision, both vehicles came to a rest in the westbound ditch. Very minor injuries were reported. All three vehicles were towed by Menefee Towing due to damage. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was issued a citation for failing to drive within his lane. The driver of the westbound pickup was cited to appear (in lieu of custody) for misdemeanor driving while suspended.
