Narrative Summary
I was contacted by a fire crew from North Lincoln Fire and Rescue and asked to accompany them to 3742 North Bank Road. A male subject at that location had just been let back into his home following wildfires in the area and was burning trash adjacent to his home. A statewide burn ban was in effect at the time. The fire crew extinguished the fire while I contacted the male subject. He was ultimately warned for Reckless Burning after admitting he had made a mistake by burning the trash and assuring us it would not happen again. (Log Only)

***E-CRASH*** On 09/18/20 at approximately 3:20 PM, a single-vehicle crash occurred on US-101 around milepost 132. Northbound #1 (red F150) was negotiating a curve when the vehicle spun and crashed into the sideslope earth on the east side of the roadway. #1 came to an uncontrolled rest facing west. Driver was restrained, no airbags deployed.

Narrative Summary
E-Crash: The Honda Pilot was being driven southbound on SR-229. The driver was negotiating the curvy road when she lost control on the wet road. The Honda went into the northbound lane and overturned and crashed into two trees in the northbound ditch. The driver self-extricated herself and got a passerby to help. The driver was alone and was transported to the hospital. The Honda was towed by Coast Towing for safe keeping.

Narrative Summary
***eCrash Report*** On 09/19/2020 at approximately 13:11 PM, unit #2 a silver 2005 Volvo station wagon, was southbound on US Highway 101 near milepost 148. The vehicle was stopped preparing to make a left turn onto SE 144th Drive. Unit #1 a gray 2007 Mazda sedan was southbound behind Unit #2 and did not realize the vehicle was stopped for the turn. Unit #3 a silver 2017 Ford Fusion was southbound behind Unit #1. Unit #1 failed to stop for Unit #2 and collided with the rear of Unit #2. Unit #3 attempted to avoid Unit #1 by pulling into the northbound lane, but was struck by vehicle #2 as it was forced across the northbound lane. Unit #3 was forced up a short embankment along the east side of US Highway 101. Unit #2 came to an uncontrolled rest partially blocking the northbound lane. Unit #1 came to rest blocking the southbound lane. An adult passenger from Unit #2 was transported by ambulance to Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, as was an adult passenger from Unit #3. The driver of Unit #2, and a juvenile passenger from Unit #3 were transported to the hospital by private vehicle. All injuries sustained were minor. OSP was assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, ODOT Incident Response, Seal Rock Fire Department and Pacific West Ambulance. Units #1 and #3 were towed from the scene by Rowley’s Towing of Newport. The operator of Unit #1 was issued a citation for Careless Driving.
