On 10/5/21 at approximately 12:43 pm I contacted a male and female pedestrian on US 101 near the US 20 intersection who appeared to be engaged in a verbal confrontation. It was determined the involved male was the subject of multiple warrants and had an active no contact order with the female. The male was taken into custody and lodged in Lincoln County Jail on a detainer from Lincoln County Parole and Probation.

***E-CRASH*** On10/06/21 at approximately 7:15 AM, a single-vehicle rollover crash occurred on US-101 around milepost 129. Southbound Vehicle #1 (black Nissan pickup) was negotiating a leftward sweeping curve when it lost control and rolled onto its passenger side coming to an uncontrolled rest in the northbound lane facing northeast. Driver wore safety belt, no injury reported. Rowley’s Towing removed #1. Driver cited for Fail to Drive within lane.

Narrative Summary
Responded to a report of an illegal deer baiting station. The complainant advised he found a salt lick and grain while walking in the woods, then observed trail cameras on nearby trees. He was worried about protecting his identity so he took the sim cards out of the trail cameras. He tried to return them later but the cameras were gone. I seized the sim cards and entered them into evidence at the Newport Patrol Office for safekeeping. I observed the bait station, which was clearly targeting deer, and found no evidence of illegal hunting activity. The complainant was warned for removing the sim cards from the trail cameras. The owner of the sim cards is unknown at this time.
