Narrative Summary
On 5/27/21 at approximately 5PM multiple calls were received regarding a reckless driver westbound from milepost 19 of US Highway 20 near Eddyville, Oregon. Driver of the subject vehicle, described as a black spray painted Acura Vigor, was passing multiple vehicles on double yellow, non-passing lanes. Driver was stopped by Newport Police Department. Driver performed field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with reckless driving, reckless endangering x3, and DUI. A blood search warrant was obtained and blood seized from the driver. Driver was issued citations in lieu of lodging. Vehicle was towed by Rowley’s Towing. Toledo PD Officers, Lincoln County Deputies and Newport PD Officers assisted with the arrest.

On May 28, 2021 the Oregon State Police were given information from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office that a report had been filed with them online regarding a theft from a motor vehicle that had been parked at the Devil’s Punchbowl on May 22, 2021. Narrative Summary
E-Crash: A white Toyota RAV4 was driving westbound and had missed a turn onto N Bear Creek. The driver began to brake and then signaled a left turn into a random driveway. The driver of the RAV4 began to move towards the right-hand shoulder which deactivated her turn signal but then proceeded to make a left turn/U-turn while a westbound traveling grey Toyota 4Runner behind the RAV4 proceeded past the RAV4. The crash was a low speed angular crash and was witnesses by a passerby. No injuries occurred and both vehicles were drivable.

Narrative Summary
On 5/30/21 at approximately 9:37 pm I was dispatched to the report of a road hazard on the northbound shoulder of US 101 near mile post 155. The complainant reported an intoxicated male had stopped at this location in a red sedan and was screaming at passing cars and interfering with traffic. The vehicle, a red Dodge Dart, was located and found to be occupied by a male who stated his father was the driver and he had left walking northbound on US 101. The driver returned to the scene and he was visibly intoxicated. He consented to and performed poorly on SFST’s. The driver was taken into custody and transported to Lincoln County Jail where he consented to a breath test rendering a result of .20% BAC. The driver was cited and released on charges of DUII – Alcohol, Reckless Driving and Recklessly endangering a person. The vehicle was impounded.
