Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 3/17/21 at approximately 11AM a southbound Toyota van drove through the northbound lane and off the shoulder near milepost 150 of US Highway 101. The vehicle rolled down a ravine onto its top. The driver was extricated and carefully maneuvered uphill to the awaiting ambulance by Seal Rock Fire personnel. Pac West ambulance crew transported the driver to the hospital for evaluation. ODOT assisted at the scene. Rowley’s Towing removed the vehicle.

Narrative Summary
A single vehicle crash occurred at milepost 152 on US-101. During the incident the driver exhibited signs of impairment. A passenger was entrapped inside the vehicle and had been seriously injured. The driver denied field sobriety after Rohrs Admonishment. The driver was transported to the hospital in Newport to receive care. While at the hospital the driver refused a blood draw under Implied Consent. A search warrant had been approved by the Honorable Circuit Court Judge Sheryl Bachart. A blood sample had been taken from the driver. The blood will be sent to the Oregon State Police crime laboratory for testing. The driver was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for DUII, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Assault 4, and Harassment for spitting on a hospital worker’s face multiple times. Rowley’s Towing removed the vehicle.
