DUII – Controlled Substance
Location 101, Mile post 122 122, LINCOLN OR
Narrative Summary
On 6/8/20 at approximately 9:32 pm I stopped a blue Mazda car for a routine traffic stop as it was northbound on US 101 near mile post 122. Upon contact the driver exhibited numerous signs of impairment by a stimulant drug. I observed clues within the vehicle which indicated possible illicit drug delivery. The driver consented to a search of his vehicle. During a pat down the driver was found to be in possession of a glass methamphetamine pipe, scales and more than $800 in cash. A search of the vehicle yielded plastic baggies, used for distribution, and methamphetamine. The driver admitted to using methamphetamine within the last two hours but refused to perform the full battery of SFST’s. The driver was taken into custody and transported to Lincoln County Jail where he consented to a breath test rendering a result of 0.00% BAC. The driver consented to provide a urine sample to be tested for presence of controlled substances. While being inducted into the jail the driver was found to be in possession of additional concealed quantities of methamphetamine and heroin. The driver was lodged in Lincoln County Jail on charges of DUII – Controlled Substances, Reckless Driving, Possession of Controlled Substances and Delivery of Controlled Substances.

SP20155275 06/09/2020 12:22 Officer #59922 TAYLOR, ZACH
Crash – Non-injury
Location 20, Mile post 11 11 EB, LINCOLN OR USA
Narrative Summary
**eCrash**On 6/9/2020 OSP responded to a disabled semi-truck that was blocking the west bound lane on US-20 and Pioneer Mountain loop intersection. When OSP arrived, a second Truck had driven off the eastbound lane on US-20 near milepost 11 near Pioneer Mountain loop. The vehicle involved in the crash was a green chip truck pulling a loaded trailer. Due to the disabled Semi truck blocking the westbound lane, traffic from that lane was driving into the east lane. This caused the green chip truck to pull over onto the shoulder to avoid a collision. The green chip truck drove too far over the shoulder, and rolled onto its side. The truck remained stuck in that location. The driver as uninjured. Normal vehicle traffic was diverted through Pioneer Mountain loop, and Heavy trucks were allowed to pass through US-20 via one lane of travel. This occurred for approximately two hours before both lanes on US-20 were reopened. Toledo fire department and Lincoln County Sheriff’s office assisted with traffic control. AA Rowley’s towing assisted with the disabled semi-truck, and will being towing the Chip truck at a later time.

Crash – Non-injury
Location 229 and 101, OR USA
Narrative Summary
**Log Only** On 6/9/2020 OSP responded to a reported hit and run crash that occurred on the SR-229 and US-101 junction. According to the driver of Unit #2 (a red 1998 Toyota Camry) they were attempting to turn right from SR-229 to US-101, when Unit #1 (a white 2004 Chrysler Sebring) rear ended their vehicle. Unit #1’s driver exchanged his name and contact information, but had no insurance. Due to some miscommunication, Unit #2’s driver reported the crash as a hit and run. Unit #1 was later stopped by Lincoln City Police department and another OSP Trooper. Photos were taken of the vehicle, and the driver was issued a citation for no operator’s license and no insurance. The driver of Unit #2 requested medical transport to North Lincoln City Hospital. OSP was unable to contact the driver at the scene of the crash, and had to follow up at the hospital. OSP contacted the driver and the passenger of Unit #2 at the hospital. No visible injuries were observed by OSP and medical staff. No crash report was generated due to Unit #2 and Unit #1 having little to no damage. No vehicles were towed, and both were operable. OSP ended contact shortly after.
