Narrative Summary
I stopped to assist a motorist who’s trailer had broken down. During the contact, i discovered the driver of the moving van was the respondent in a restraining order and the protected party was present also. They were traveling together. The respondent, Schmidt, was arrested and lodged in Lincoln County Jail without incident.

**e-Crash**On 6/30/2020 at approximately 08:41 AM, OSP was dispatched to a reported crash that occurred on US-101 MP 132. Unit #1 was traveling north on US-101 when the driver hydroplaned her vehicle and lost control. Unit #1 drove off the shoulder of the road into the hill, and spun multiple times before coming to an uncontrolled rest on the side of the road. Depoe Bay Fire Dept. assisted with traffic control. Medics were dispatched to the scene, but the driver refused transport. The vehicle was towed by Rowley’s Towing to their lot, and OSP broke contact shortly after.

Narrative Summary
**Log only**On 6/30/2020 at approximately 13:04 PM OSP received a report of a vehicle engulfed in fire on US-20 near milepost 33. OSP arrived on scene at approximately 13:27 PM. The vehicle involved was a black 2014 Dodge Ram 1500. According to the driver, he had a check engine light display on his dashboard so he stopped his vehicle on the side of the road. When he went to check the under the hood, the driver said it was too hot to open. The driver was towing his daughter’s vehicle (a white 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee) in a U-Haul trailer. The driver and passengers were able to exit the vehicle safely, and drive the Jeep off the trailer into a gravel pullout. The truck was then engulfed in flames, with black smoke pouring into the roadway. Toledo Fire Dept was able to extinguish the fire, and ODOT assisted with traffic control. Rowley’s Towing towed the vehicle to their lot.

Narrative Summary
**e-Crash**On 6/30/2020 OSP received a report of a three car collision on US-101 MP 162. When I arrived, the collision only involved two cars. Unit #1 (2013 Green Ford Fiesta) was traveling south on US-101 and was attempting to turn onto NE Vingie ST. Unit #2 (2007 blue Pontiac Grand Prix) was traveling north in the same location, when Unit #1 turned into this vehicle. According to Unit #1 there was a white truck blocking her vision when making the turn. Both vehicles sustained damage but were moved safely off the roadway and did not require a tow truck. Both drivers were issued citations.

Narrative Summary
***E-CRASH*** On 06/30/20 at approximately 4:42 PM, a single-vehicle crash occurred on US-101 around milepost 150 in Seal Rock. Southbound Vehicle #1 (beige Tundra) drove over the fogline and into the sideslope earth on the west side of the roadway. Driver #1 overcorrected and #1 came to an uncontrolled rest on its passenger side in the southbound lane facing southwest. Driver wore safety restraints, airbags deployed, no injuries reported. Driver cited for failure to drive within lane. Rowley’s Towing towed the vehicle to their lot in South Beach.

Narrative Summary
On 6/30/20 at approximately 6:55 pm I stopped a blue Toyota Camry (VVE963) on US 101 near mile post 134 after it passed me at a high rate of speed. Upon contact the driver exhibited signs of impairment and a strong odor of burnt marijuana permeated the vehicle. The driver consented to and performed poorly on SFST’s. The driver admitted to recently drinking alcohol, recently smoking marijuana and recently taking multiple impairing prescription medications. The driver was taken into custody and transported to Lincoln County Jail where he consented to a breath test rendering a result of .04% BAC. The driver consented to provide a urine sample to be tested for presence of controlled substances. The driver refused to participate in a Drug Recognition Evaluation.
