Ecrash: Unit #1, a 1997 Ford Expedition, made an unlawful, unsignaled left turn across the northbound lane of 101 and was involved in an angle crash with Unit #2, a 2016 Volkswagen Passat, that was proceeding lawfully in the northbound lane. Both vehicles were towed due to damage by Car Care Towing. All occupants of both vehicles were transported to North Lincoln Samaritan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver of Unit #1 was cited for an unlawful left turn.

Log Only: A motorhome showed up early this morning at Beverly Beach State Park in a $7 a day parking location and was parked next to a previously abandoned motorhome. A man was spoken to inside the motorhome and was asked to leave by 10am. The motorhome was still there after that time. During contact with the male who left on foot he said his friend up the road had brought the motorhome down and parked it so he could sleep in it. The initial male was trespassed from the state park. The owner of the motorhome has been contacted and the motorhome is expected to be removed.

The male involved was described as a WMA 6’ thin build, black baseball hat worn backwards, blue jeans, with a large new red backpack and a bicycle. The man was yelling throughout the night and apparently was directly his anger towards the ocean. The man was unknown to the caller.

Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 8/21/21 at approximately 430PM a northbound unit 2 (Black Toyota) slowed to stop for a another northbound vehicle stopped to turn west on NW Knoxville St in Yachats, Oregon. Unit 1 (red Honda) was unable to stop and collided with the rear end of unit 2. Unit 1 ended up in the ditch facing northeast. Unit 2 suffered moderate damage but was drivable. No injuries were reported. Driver of unit 1 was issued citations for driving suspended violation and following too closely. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Pac West Ambulance, and Central Coast fire assisted at the scene. No vehicles were towed.
