**e Crash report** On 12/20/2019 at 07:36AM the Oregon State Police responded to a crash on Highway 20 at milepost 8.5. A single occupant was driving a commercial semi-truck pulling a single trailer west bound, when the driver made contact with a downed tree. The driver was wearing his seatbelt, the airbags did not deploy, and he was not intoxicated. The impact of the tree crushed the windshield, and part of the cabin as well. The trailer was undamaged. The driver sustained minor injuries from the broken windshield. The driver arranged his own tow for both the trailer and the semi-truck. ODOT crew cut and removed the tree from the roadway.

Narrative Summary
**e-Crash report** On 12/21/2019 at 12:03PM the Oregon State Police received a report of a two head-on vehicle collision on SR-18 near the intersection of N. Bear Creek Road. The collision occurred, when Unit #1, a dark-gray 2007 Honda Accord was westbound approaching the intersection. There were additional uninvolved vehicles in front of Unit#1 stopped in the westbound lane of SR-18 at the N. Bear Creek Road. Unit #2, a white 2016 Dodge Caravan was eastbound on SR-18 and had passed the intersection as Unit #1 attempted to avoid collision with the vehicles ahead, and swerved into Unit#2’s lane. The front of Unit#1 struck the front of Unit#2. Both vehicle’s sustained heavy front end damage and came to uncontrolled rests blocking both lanes of SR-18. Fire and medical personnel responded to the scene and three occupants were transported via ambulance to the Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Car Care Tow Pro of Lincoln City. The involved operators were later contacted and interviewed at the hospital. Upon conclusion of the investigation, the operator of Unit#1 was issued a violation citation for Careless Driving. SR-18 was closed for traffic in the area for approximately 1.5 hours. ODOT units assisted and diverted traffic along N. Northbank Road.

Narrative Summary
**eCrash Report** On 12/22/2019 at 14:57 PM, a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Deputy came across a motor vehicle crash on US Highway 20 near milepost 9. The Oregon State Police responded to the scene to investigate. The crash occurred when Unit#1, a blue 2001 Subaru Legacy was westbound on US Hwy 20. The operator of the vehicle fell asleep and drifted off the north side of the roadway onto the shoulder. The vehicle came to rest in a blackberry bramble along the roadside. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage. The operator made his own arrangements for the vehicle towing, and it was removed by AA Rowley’s Towing.
