NEWPORT — Oregon Coast Council for the Arts, the nonprofit that oversees programming at the Newport Performing Arts Center, is holding its annual public meeting Saturday, Feb. 7 in the center’s lobby.
The meeting begins at 3 p.m. where residents, artists, OCCA members and patrons can hear directly from the nonprofit’s leadership. Executive director Jason Holland will give a year-in-review presentation and a glimpse at the organization’s future.
The arts council manages both the Newport Performing Arts Center and the Newport Visual Arts Center.
“Our annual meeting is a time to celebrate the vibrant community that makes the arts possible here,” Holland said in a statement promoting the meeting. “We’re excited to celebrate 2025 and share what’s next as we look ahead to a busy 2026.”
The annual meeting is followed by a “Party Gras” at 4:30 p.m. offering food, drinks, live music, and art-making. The event is free and open to the public.
