WALDPORT – The Lincoln County animal shelter in Waldport is opening its doors to the public Tuesday, April 14.
Shelter hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
The multi-million dollar, nearly 5,000 square foot building has 24 indoor-outdoor dog kennels with heated floors, cat rooms and surgical facilities. There are in-person services for dog licensing and opportunities to sign up for volunteering and fostering animals. Dog walkers and cat socializers are needed.
Visitors are invited to explore the shelter and visit adoptable animals.
The shelter is located at 220 S.W. Dahl Ave. in Waldport’s industrial park off South Crestline Drive. The new shelter manager is Marie Gainer. For more information or to reach the shelter call 541-265-0720. Links to Learn more about volunteering and submit a volunteer application today.

I am thrilled that the shelter is finally done!! It will be such an improvement and I hope it is a no kill shelter.
