To the editor:
I live in Waldport and have been dining at the Adobe restaurant in Yachats for over 20 years and will continue to support its business for many years to come.
However, after reading a recent news article, I wanted to reach out about concerns I have with the Adobe’s intent to pursue shining spotlights on the ocean all night long. I strongly oppose this. We are losing our night sky in so many places across America that it is becoming more and more difficult to see the stars.
You may be thinking “How is our one business affecting anything”? I can assure you that thousands of other businesses are asking the same thing. It all adds up.
I hope the Adobe will not pursue this further but instead focus on its wonderful dining experience and amenities.
