The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office said it is investigating the suspicious death of a 36-year-old Logsden man found dead early Saturday alongside Government Hill Road in Siletz.
In a news release Saturday afternoon, the sheriff’s office said Richard A. Mann of Logsden was found unconscious and laying alongside the road. Deputies said there was evidence at the scene that suggested foul play and called for the Lincoln County major crime team.
The sheriff’s office said it is being assisted by the Oregon State Police criminal investigation and forensics units, officers from Toledo, Newport and Lincoln City and the Lincoln County district attorney’s office.
