Dozens of Northwest artists will show their work at the Lincoln City Summer Art Festival on Friday and Saturday, July 31 and Aug. 1, at the Lincoln City Cultural Center.
The festival will include a wide range of original pieces by more than 65 artists — from paintings, pottery and sculpture to photography, fiber art and driftwood creations. Among the talents will be chainsaw artist James Lukinich, who creates animals out of wood. One of his pieces will be raffled.
The festival will also feature live music and food trucks, with the SeaGals of Lincoln City, a local women’s group, selling their baked goods.
The musical performances begin Friday with guitarist Richard Paris, followed by Bret Lucich and the Headturners. Saturday features a solo performance by Bret Lucich before Soul Proprietors closes out the festival with classic Motown, funk and soul favorites.
The drawing for Lukinich’s chainsaw carving will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, but the winner won’t have to present.
The festival runs Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, located at 540 N.E. Highway 101.
