It’s going to be free to fish, crab or clam anywhere in Oregon this weekend and free to camp in state parks on Saturday.
The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife’s “free fishing weekend” is Saturday and Sunday meaning you don’t need a license to fish, crab or clam anywhere in the state.
However, the agency said all other fishing regulations apply, including closures, bag limits and size restrictions.
Camping in Oregon State Parks is free on Saturday – a tradition since 1998 to thank Oregonians for their long-standing support of the state park system, the agency said in a news release. It falls on the first Saturday of June, which is June 7 this year.
Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is waiving day-use parking fees at the 25 parks that charge them and camping fees for all tent, RV and horse campsites on Saturday.
