It may not be the best time to start a brewery, but if you are looking for everything from massive fermenter tanks to hoses to malt, there are hundreds of items up for auction from the former Rogue Ales & Spirits operation in Newport.
Oregon Brewing Company abruptly closed its large brewery in Newport in November, shut down four restaurants and laid off at least 60 employees with little notice. Its Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing listed nearly $5 million in assets and $16.7 million in liabilities.
Now its pieces and parts are being auctioned off.
Online auction platform Proxibid is hosting its bankruptcy liquidation sale with bids starting Sunday, according to the Portland Business Journal. The site lists about 700 items for sale, including brewing vessels, pallets of ingredients, barrels, coolers and other production equipment. It also lists decorative pieces, such as neon Rogue signs, life preservers and surfboards that once adorned its bars and restaurants.
Founded in 1988, Rogue was a longtime leader in Oregon’s craft beer industry in terms of production volume and national reach. It was the state’s fifth-largest craft brewer in 2025 with 36,000 barrels produced in 2024 and among the top 50 nationally.

Why didn’t the port file liens on everything? Has the port even answered why they let Rogue get so far behind?
