To the editor:
I would like to share my observations of Heide Lambert, who is running for mayor of Waldport. She is a creative, solution-oriented person who can think outside the box, but at the same time uses common sense to create programs and services. I see her as a person that can bring groups of people together to accomplish tasks, that might not otherwise come together.
I saw these traits in Heide, while I was a volunteer as Lincoln County CASA. As director of Lincoln County CASA, she brought supports and services to the program that had never been there. Her positive, supportive leadership skills made the workplace environment one that encouraged service.
While at CASA, a clothing closet was created that came to be used by many community agencies to help their clients. A library was created where children in foster care could come and take a book and not worry about bringing it back. These are just a couple of examples of things that happened because of Heide Lambert’s leadership style.
I urge you to vote for Heide Lambert for mayor of Waldport.
