WALDPORT – As wildfires consume hundreds of thousands of acres of land in eastern Oregon, staff and volunteers at Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue are offering landowners a chance Saturday to learn how to protect their property. The district is holding an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at its main station in downtown Waldport where homeowners can learn about wildland fire preparation and prevention.
