Central Lincoln People’s Utility District is offering businesses in its three-county service area up to $20,000 to help install electric vehicle charging stations. The utility has also doubled to $500 a reimbursement for homeowners installing charging stations.
Central Lincoln receives clean fuel credits from the state of Oregon, and revenue generated from those credits supports transportation electrification projects, the utility said in a news release. Central Lincoln is using a portion of this funding to help offset the cost of installing charging infrastructure.
The program provides reimbursement for up to 75 percent of eligible project costs with a maximum award of $20,000 per project. The money can be used for infrastructure supporting fleet vehicles, employee vehicles, and public or customer use. Central Lincoln said the grants are available to businesses, nonprofit organizations, local governments, school districts, tribal governments, and other non-residential organizations in its service area.
