The Newport Symphony Orchestra’s second program of the season Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 8-9 is a concert that will introduce local audiences to contemporary American composer Jennifer Higdon and celebrates the return of Johnny Gandelsman, Newport’s local celebrity and MacArthur Genius Fellow.
