ODFW biologists warn about getting close to dead sea lions on coast

Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife biologists are warning about an increase in the number of stranded California sea lions along the entire Oregon coast due to leptospirosis, a naturally-occurring bacteria that can also sicken dogs, people, other wildlife, and livestock. The agency said dogs are most at risk of getting the disease while the risk to people is small.

LCPH schedules vaccine clinic Tuesday in Waldport

WALDPORT – Lincoln County Public Health has added a Covid-19 vaccine and booster clinic in Waldport on Tuesday, Oct. 18 to its countywide schedule. A clinic Tuesday, Oct. 11 in Yachats had issues with 45-minute wait for the vaccinations, especially booster shots, and ran out of doses to give after 60 people.
