Waldport gallery’s first youth art contest hands out $1,350 in prizes

WALDPORT — The Bader Fine Art Gallery and sponsors handed out more than $1,350 in awards to Waldport-area teenagers in the gallery’s first youth art show and contest. Vera Kyei, 13, of Waldport won best of show and $300 for her ceramic dragon. Avia Lambert, 17, Waldport, won first prize and $250 in the division for artists age 16-18.

Lincoln County jobless rate in September stays at 4.1 percent

Lincoln County’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.1 percent in September, unchanged from the August rate, the Oregon Employment Department reported this week.
