While at the Yachats Post Office on Saturday I observed a customer at the pickup window being told by the postal person that his package was returned to the seller because it didn’t have his PO box number on it.
The postal employee also informed him to have the seller reship the item, get a refund, or purchase the same item from another vendor upon receiving the refund.
I’ve personally had the same problem. The seller will not respond to your request or check to determine if the product was returned to them – and therefore I’ve lost out on getting the item as well as the money I paid for it.
Over a year ago I ordered something and I had the PO box number listed as the mailing address and used PayPal to pay for it. I received notification on my email that it arrived at the Post Office and was furnished with a tracking number.
The Post Office said they didn’t have it and they checked the tracking number and said it wasn’t in the (system).
I checked with the seller and they were adamant that the item was delivered. I checked with PayPal as well to determine whether the seller delivered the item and they concluded that it was delivered by the seller.
Evidently, the Post Office either lost it or something else happened to it.
When Jeff and Angie were working there this problem never happened. They were very customer oriented. Since their departure is when all the problems arose.
Postal authorities should look into this facility to determine if it is properly handling the mail and following protocol.

Yes they do need to look into it. The Toledo office as well.
If you have a Post Office Box, you should never use your street address on mail. Employees do not have the institutional knowledge to reroute misaddressed mail and to presume they’ll hunt your address down is not fair. We have to take responsibility.
Agreed. We were spoiled by Angie. She went above and beyond. To expect new employees to fill those shoes seamlessly is a cruel place to set the bar….
