Lincoln County is accepting applications from local nonprofits and governments for $130,000 in economic development grants until Dec. 18.
The awards will include one $60,000 grant to a project focused on housing and/or broadband. The remaining $70,000 will be awarded to smaller community and economic development projects with a maximum of $15,000 per award, the county announced.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Dec. 18. There is an online workshop for potential applicants at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 conducted by the Economic Development Alliance of Lincoln County.

Lincoln County commissioners say this year’s awards will focus on job creation and retention. The alliance’s board will review and make recommendations to county commissioners, who will make the final award decisions.
The money comes from the Oregon Lottery, based on the play of video lottery in the county.
Last year’s grants went to Oregon Coast Community College’s digital media and marketing studio, the Coast Range Association’s food web marketplace, Northwest Oregon Works’ Rural youth shuttle-to-CTE program; Waldport Chamber of Commerce’s Beach, Bike & Blues Festival; the Yachats Chamber of Commerce’s new website; and Reinventing Rural’s small business programs in Toledo and Depoe Bay. The large impact grant was awarded to Northwest Coastal Housing for its Olalla Meadows project that will create eight two-bedroom units and 22 one-bedroom units in Toledo.
