I am a vacation rental owner. One of my best-booked years ever has ground to a halt with cancellations.
I am happy that I am able to ride this out but I’m very concerned about the cleaning people we hire who are now out of work. I have scheduled some maintenance cleaning at the same rate I pay for house cleaning.
I hope others in the community will do the same. It isn’t as often or as much as cleaning up after a rental, but surely it helps.
I hope some residents will employ some of the independent cleaners for special cleaning projects to help them through this hard time.
It has also occurred to me that it’s a perfect time for my husband and I to hang out in our rental home and write the great American novel! Stay well.
