View the Future is proud to announce grant support from Land Trust Alliance, Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts and the Oregon Community Foundation in the amount of $25,000 as part of their Oregon Lands & People Project.
This is an effort to strengthen land trusts, expand communities that they serve, and equip them with the tools and resources to protect Oregon’s most vital resources and most vital lands and waters before it is too late.
This support comes at a pivotal time when funding for conservation organizations is more limited than ever. It will allow us to expand our efforts to protect the landscapes, waterways, and cultural heritage that make Yachats so unique.
In the coming months, we’ll be hosting a series of small community conversations about conservation easements — what they are, how they work, and their pros and cons. Interest in conservation easements is growing as more landowners look to secure their property’s natural and cultural values for future generations. We’re honored that so many have already reached out to us for advice and partnership.
