LINCOLN CITY — The Lincoln City Cultural Center has announced the hiring of Serena Dressel of Portland as its new executive director.
Dressel begins Oct. 13, succeeding Niki Price of Lincoln City, who stepped down Aug. 31 after 14 years.

Raised in Lincoln City, Dressel returns with more than a decade of experience supporting mission-driven organizations, the center’s board said in its announcement. She most recently was coordinator of the student sustainability center at Portland State University, where she led strategic planning, supervised staff, and facilitated more than 30 events annually. She has a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, and her background includes nonprofit governance, cultural programming, volunteer management, and education.
The center’s board said it sought a candidate who could build on the organization’s foundation “while guiding it into a vibrant and inclusive future.”
The center plans an open house and welcome reception for Dressel from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1.
The center has three galleries and hosts 250 events a year.
