Narrative Summary
On 10/31/19 at approximately 930AM I responded to a vehicle crash into a tree at milepost 120 of US Highway 101. Southbound vehicle drove south through the northbound lane, through the northbound shoulder and crashed into a tree. Vehicle sustained moderate front end damage. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the morning. Driver performed field sobriety tests. Driver was arrested for DUI Controlled Substance and Reckless Driving and lodged at Lincoln County Jail. Driver provided a breath sample measuring a .00% BAC. Driver provided a urine sample. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Depoe Bay fire and PAC West Ambulance assisted at the scene. Car Care towed the vehicle to their yard.

The vehicle was towed by AA Rowley’s Towing with heavy front end damage. The driver advised the vehicle was a rental with Avis Rental from San Diego.
