**E-CRASH*** On 09/19/19 at approximately 6:30 AM, a single vehicle crash occurred on SR-18 around milepost 2. Vehicle # 1 (silver Mazda) was eastbound when it encountered deer in the roadway. Driver reported trying to avoid to the right and losing control when the vehicle veered back onto the roadway. #1 crossed the centerline, westbound lane, and rolled onto its side on the north side of the roadway, coming to an uncontrolled rest. Driver was uninjured and called for his own tow. Driver cited for DWS-violation.

Narrative Summary
On 9/13/2019 at approximately 4:55pm, residents who live in the area of SW Wakeetum Street in Waldport overheard numerous rifle shots. On 9/14/2019 a black bear gut pile was discovered on private property off of SW Wakeetum St. On 9/20/2019 two subjects were contacted near 5110 SW Kamela Place in Waldport in connection to the rifle shots and bear gut pile. Both subjects were interviewed and later admitted to taking the bear on private property they did not have permission to be hunting on. The bear meat was wasted and was discarded by one of the subjects shortly after it was taken. The subjects were cited for the listed charges. Two firearms, bear hide and attached skull and an un-validated bear tag were seized as evidence.
