Narrative Summary
**eCrash Report**On 09/09/19 at approximately 11:24 AM, Unit #1, a silver, 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was northbound on US Highway 101. Unit #1 was preparing to turn westbound across US Highway 101 into Governor Patterson State Park. Unit#2, a black 1995 Jeep Wrangler was northbound behind Unit #1. As Unit #2 came around the corner, the driver did not see any brake lights or turn signal activated on Unit#1. Unit #2 applied its brakes and was able to stop, just prior to impact with Unit #1. Unit #3, a red 2003 Nissan Frontier pick-up, was northbound behind Unit#2. Unit #3 attempted to stop, but struck the rear of Unit #2. Unit #2 then moved forward and struck the rear of Unit#1. The occupants of Unit’s 1 and 3 were not injured. The driver of Unit #2 was struck in the rear of her head by unrestrained cargo in the back of her vehicle. The driver of Unit#2 was transported to Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, with minor injuries. Unit#1 had very minor damage and was driven from the scene. Unit #2 was towed from the scene by AA Rowley’s Towing after the driver was transported. At the driver of Unit#3’s request, AA Rowley’s Towing removed the Nissan and towed it to the driver’s residence.
