Narrative Summary
E-Crash: The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was performing a left turn from a private residence, near milepost 3.5 on highway 18, onto highway 18. During the turn the Chevrolet drove in front of an eastbound traveling Dodge Dakota pickup. The Dodge struck the back left portion of the Chevrolet. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported with minor injuries to the hospital in Lincoln City. Both vehicles were towed by Car Care Towing.

Log Only: The attached individual was talked to about loading/shoveling dirt/gravel into the back of his pickup truck. The individual explained he believed the dirt had been dumped along the highway and was not actually ODOT’s dirt. The individual has been counseled and no previous history/contacts were seen for this type of behavior.

E-Crash: A Toyota Yaris was westbound on SR-18 taking the exit to go onto US-101 southbound to Lincoln City when the driver lost control of his vehicle and struck the guardrail along the southbound shoulder. The front end of the Toyota was damaged but the guardrail was undamaged. The driver arranged his own tow.

Narrative Summary
A Ford was being driven southbound on US-101 and while coming out of the curves at Ona Beach the driver of the Ford swerved to avoid a northbound Dodge Caliber which had crossed into the southbound lane. The Dodge struck the left rear of the Ford and caused it to rotate. The Dodge had pulled over for a short period of time near N Beaver Creek Road but had left shortly later northbound on US-101 without waiting for police or fully exchanging information. Information given to law enforcement shows the driver of the Dodge was criminally suspended. The information will be sent to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges.

eCrash – On 01/30/2022 at approximately 9:30pm a single vehicle (2021 White Jeep) pulling a traveling trailer lost control and crashed causing the trailer to overturn and block the northbound lane. The northbound lane was closed. The occupants in the vehicle were not injured. The vehicle was drive able and the trailer was towed due to damage. The northbound lane was reopened and no longer a hazard.
