Narrative Summary
E-Crash: A Mini Cooper was being driven northbound on SR-229 and just north of milepost 26 the driver attempted to serve and avoid a deer, which was also seen by a witness, and the driver lost control hitting the guardrail along the southbound shoulder. The driver was alone and was transported to the hospital in Newport to be treated. The driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended. The driver had requested Coast Towing to remove the vehicle.

E-Crash: The driver of a Honda Fit was southbound on US-101 and near milepost 125.5 was attempted to avoid a slowing vehicle in front of her and side swiped a parked vehicle. Someone was exiting the parked vehicle and had gotten thrown to the ground with no reported injuries. The Honda was towed by Car Care Towing.

Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 1/16/22 at approximately 130PM a vehicle unit 1 (Honda) turned westbound on US Highway 20 near milepost 5. An eastbound vehicle unit 2 (Toyota) collided head-on with unit 1. Unit 2 slid off the eastbound shoulder and down into the ditch. Passenger and driver of unit 2 were transported to the hospital by ambulance with undisclosed injuries. Driver of unit 1 reported no injuries. Driver of unit 1 was issued a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device. Rowley’s Towing removed both vehicles. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, ODOT, Toledo Fire, and Toledo PD assisted at the scene.

Narrative Summary
Received a report of two anglers fishing in the Cascade Head Marine Reserve near Roads End State Park. The Cascade Head Marine Reserve is closed to all angling. I responded to the area and located the two anglers, who were still actively fishing in the Pacific Ocean surf near Roads End State Park. I contacted them and advised them that they were fishing in a closed area. One of the anglers had caught a surf perch at that location. Both anglers were cited for Angling Closed Area: Within a Marine Reserve. The fish was seized and donated to the Lincoln City Food Pantry. Before breaking contact, I showed the two anglers the boundaries of the Cascade Head Marine Reserve in the 2022 Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations.
