Narrative Summary
Log Only: The driver was northbound on US-101 driving her motorhome while towing a Honda Fit when she noticed smoke to the rear. She pulled over and eventually the Honda Fit began to catch on fire near the front engine compartment. Passerby’s used fire extinguishers to attempt to put the fire out. Depoe Bay Fire Department responded to put the fire out. The vehicle was towed by Car Care Towing. The Honda was detached from the motorhome prior to the fire increasing.

Narrative Summary
On May 21, 2021 the Oregon State Police were notified by A1 Charlies Towing in Corvallis a vehicle had been vandalized that had broken down the day prior along US-20 near milepost 26 westbound. Police talked with the owner who advised his red Volkswagen had broken down while driving westbound from Corvallis to Newport around 7:50 pm the day prior. He had gotten a ride from the area afterwards and later arranged for a tow. Tires were removed, items stolen, and a window was broken. Currently no suspect information is known.
