Narrative Summary
eCrash – On 5/5/21 at approximately 5PM a northbound vehicle unit 2 (blue Subaru) swerved to avoid a collision after unit 1 (white Ford) turned east in front of his vehicle near milepost 151 of US Highway 101 in Seal Rock, Oregon. Unit 2 came to a controlled rest on an embankment off the northbound shoulder. Unit 1 sustained no damage. Driver’s exchanged information. Unit 2 sustained minor damage and a passenger in unit 2 was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Vehicles were driven from the scene.

Narrative Summary
On 5/5/21 at approximately 8PM a caller reported an intoxicated driver at the Burger King in Newport, Oregon. Another witnessed observed the same vehicle southbound driving recklessly through South Beach. Subject vehicle, red Jeep Cherokee, collided with a vehicle near milepost 144 of US Highway 101. Subject vehicle continued southbound at a high rate of speed, overtaking numerous vehicles. I observed the red Jeep pass my location near milepost 145. Vehicle was speeding and overtaking vehicles. Vehicle was stopped and driver showed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested for DUI, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Failure to Perform Duties of a driver and cited for driving uninsured. Driver provided a breath sample of .15% BAC. Vehicle was towed by Rowley’s Towing.
